Jon Shevel is a competitive amateur racing in a national multiclass endurance series. He competes in American Endurance Racing, where production-based cars from three classes share the track in races lasting several hours; each car carries two or more drivers who rotate during the event. He has also made two starts in SCCA Regionals, a multiclass sprint series run entirely in the United States, driving heavily modified production sports cars and other machinery across its grid of amateur through professional competitors.[1]

Across ten seasons from 2015 to 2025, Shevel has taken six wins and thirteen podiums from twenty-four starts. His record in American Endurance Racing spans a decade; he has won five times and finished on the podium eleven times across twenty-two entries, racing in Classes 1, 2 and 3. In 2025, his first indexed season in SCCA Regionals, he won once and took two podiums from two rounds of competition, finishing twenty-fourth in the championship standings.[2]

In American Endurance Racing, Shevel runs against a field mixing semi-professional and professional competitors with the amateurs. He is closely matched with Thomas Lee, a two-time defending Class 2 champion who has raced the series extensively, and with Iain Barber, a regular opponent with sixty-two starts in the championship. He has finished ahead of Kyle Tilley, an entry-level professional and FIA Silver graded driver who has raced IMSA WeatherTech and IMSA Pilot Challenge alongside his American Endurance Racing starts, and has beaten Tyler Chambers, an entry-level professional from the IMSA Pilot Challenge grid.
