Kuno Wittmer is a Canadian semi-professional sportscar driver with a Racer Rating of 4,124, placing him in the professional band; this level describes drivers who compete regularly at the national championship front and beat semi-professionals comfortably, though they do not consistently finish at the sharp end of the strongest fields. Graded FIA Platinum, the top tier within GT and endurance racing, Wittmer competed across 38 starts from 2013 to 2022, primarily in the IMSA Pilot Challenge series where he made 29 starts with 5 wins and 10 podiums. He also contested the IMSA WeatherTech Championship with one win in eight starts and made a single World Endurance Championship appearance in 2013. His most productive period came in the IMSA Pilot Challenge, where he raced frequently for Compass Racing and averaged a finishing position of P9.2 across all his racing.[1]

Wittmer's head-to-head record in the IMSA Pilot Challenge shows him competitive but not dominant against his regular rivals. He finished ahead of FIA Gold-graded Trent Hindman, a 2019 WeatherTech GTD champion and 2022 Pilot Challenge GS champion, in only seven of twenty-one shared races; the same pattern held against Alan Brynjolfsson, the 2022 Pilot Challenge GS champion, where Wittmer won their head-to-head only seven times in twenty-one meetings. He recorded more balanced results against Hugh Plumb and Owen Trinkler, both previous class champions, suggesting he operated in the middle tier of a competitive professional field rather than at its peak. Notably, Wittmer occasionally finished ahead of much stronger drivers in isolated results, including three finishes over Chase Briscoe and two each over Scott Dixon, the four-time IndyCar champion, and Laurens Vanthoor, an FIA Platinum driver and multiple IMSA and WEC champion; these were individual results rather than patterns of dominance. Wittmer retired from professional racing in August 2023.[2]
