Lorenzo Casé raced in international endurance championships as an amateur driver rated professional. He competed across three series between 2004 and 2014: the FIA GT Championship as a shared-car entrant for Pecom Racing; the WEC in the LMGTE Am class driving Ferrari machinery for AF Corse; and the IMSA WeatherTech championship in the United States. His FIA grading of Bronze places him among amateur and gentleman drivers in sportscar racing.[1]
Casé made eleven starts across his career, spread over a decade with gaps between campaigns. His sole podium came in WEC competition, where he took three starts for AF Corse in 2013 and 2014, finishing 23rd in the 2014 season standings. His earlier work in the FIA GT Championship spanned six starts for Pecom Racing between 2004 and 2009; he raced IMSA WeatherTech twice in 2014. The campaigns were intermittent; no season saw him run a full calendar or establish a sustained presence in any one series.[2]
His most frequent opponents were Emmanuel Collard, a WEC LMGTE Am champion and entry-level professional, and Paolo Ruberti, a 2012 WEC LMGTE Am champion and professional driver, both graded Silver or Gold. Casé matched them across shared-car racing. He finished ahead of Kevin Estre and Brendon Hartley, both established professionals graded Platinum and multiple-time champions, once each in their careers.
