Lorenzo Casé is a Bronze-graded amateur endurance racing driver who competed in multiclass and single-class sportscar championships across a decade. He raced in the FIA GT Championship for Pecom Racing between 2004 and 2009, then returned to competition with AF Corse in the WEC from 2013 to 2014 and made two starts in IMSA WeatherTech in 2014. He finished his career as a semi-professional, rated 4,483.[1]
His record spans eleven starts across three series. In the FIA GT Championship he made six entries in shared-car endurance racing. The WEC brought his only podium finish, a top-three result across three starts between 2013 and 2014; he ended that final season 23rd in the championship standings. His two IMSA WeatherTech rounds came in 2014 with Scuderia Corsa.[2]
Casé raced regularly against Emmanuel Collard and Paolo Ruberti, both entry-level and established professionals graded Silver and Gold respectively; Collard would later win the 2016 WEC LMGTE Am championship and Ruberti the 2012 title in the same class. He finished ahead of Kevin Estre, a Platinum-graded established professional who went on to win the 2018 WEC LMGTE Pro title, and Rene Rast, a three-time DTM champion and Platinum-graded professional. His work with AF Corse, which fielded 188 drivers and secured 195 wins across the index, placed him in the company of established operations in international endurance racing.
