Mato Homola is a professional racing driver from Slovakia who competes in touring car and endurance categories. His primary indexed record spans single-seater touring car racing in the FIA World Touring Car Cup and the World Touring Car Championship, alongside one endurance entry in the 24H Series, a multiclass championship mixing amateur and professional drivers across shared-car racing. He drove for DG Sport Compétition in his most substantial campaign, the 2018 FIA World Touring Car Cup season.[1]

Across three seasons from 2015 to 2020, Homola took 33 starts and scored two wins and two podiums. His sole World Touring Car Championship outing came in 2015 with Campos Racing over two rounds. His main body of work came in 2018 with DG Sport Compétition in the FIA World Touring Car Cup, where he took 30 starts, one win, and finished 18th in the championship standings. He also claimed a win in the 24H Series GTX class in 2020 driving for ARC Bratislava.[2]

In the FIA World Touring Car Cup, Homola raced in a field that included Yvan Muller, a four-time World Touring Car Championship winner, and Norbert Michelisz, the 2023 and 2024 TCR World Tour champion. He typically finished behind Muller but proved closely matched with Michelisz. He also beat the 2017 World Touring Car Championship winner Thed Bjork twice and the 2019 FIA World Touring Car Cup champion Esteban Guerrieri four times across their meetings.
