🇳🇱 Duncan Huisman

Duncan Huisman is a professional Dutch racing driver, FIA Silver graded, competing primarily in endurance and touring car racing across a 17-year span from 2003 to 2008 and again intermittently through 2020. He raced touring cars as a solo driver for Wiechers-Sport in the World Touring Car Championship and campaigned shared-car endurance machinery in multiclass championships including the 24H Series, Nürburgring Langstrecken-Serie, and FIA GT Championship, most regularly with BMW Team Italy-Spain.[1]

Huisman took a single victory in 18 World Touring Car Championship starts, adding three podiums in that series across six seasons. In endurance racing he scored five podiums from 12 combined starts in the 24H Series, Nürburgring Langstrecken-Serie and FIA GT Championship, racing GT3 and GT4 machinery and Porsche Cup cars. His most substantial results came in touring cars, where he contested the WTCC as a regular driver from 2005 to 2008, finishing 21st in the 2008 championship standings.[2]

Huisman regularly raced against established professionals including Alain Menu, a former WTCC regular and Formula 3000 driver, and Alessandro Zanardi, an FIA Silver-graded driver and former Formula 1 competitor; the two were closely matched in head-to-head meetings. He finished ahead of Maro Engel, later a Platinum-graded professional and 2024 GT World Challenge Europe champion, in their single meeting, and beat Fabrizio Gollin, 2004 FIA GT Championship winner, once in endurance racing.
