Michele Abbate is an entry-level professional competing in multiple national American racing series. She races a TA2 tube-frame V8 silhouette car in Trans-Am, where she has been a regular since 2019, and has recently joined AE Victory Racing in the World Racing League's GTO class, which competes in multiclass endurance racing in shared GT4-class cars.[1]
Her first indexed wins came in 2026 in the World Racing League, where she has taken both available podiums so far this season in a shared car; that series is still in progress. She also made a single NASCAR Truck start in 2021. Her record against established professionals includes finishes ahead of Daniel Suarez, a former NASCAR Xfinity champion with extensive NASCAR Cup Series experience, and Carson Kvapil, an Xfinity-level driver.[2]
In Trans-Am, Abbate regularly faces Barry Boes and Rafa Matos, both entry-level professionals; Boes is a two-time SCCA Majors champion, and Matos is the 2021 Trans-Am TA2 champion with 68 starts in the series and prior experience in IndyCar. She typically finishes behind both drivers. Her current success in the World Racing League has come in a competitive team, AE Victory Racing, which has fielded multiple drivers at semi-professional and entry-level professional level.
