Roy Block was an entry-level professional racing in the IMSA Pilot Challenge, a multiclass endurance series run across the United States in which drivers share cars and compete in either the ST class of modified production sports cars and sedans or the TCR class of touring cars. He raced primarily for KMW Motorsports with TMR Engineering across eight seasons from 2016 to 2023, taking a single start in the 24H Series, a multiclass endurance championship, in 2017.[1]
Block accumulated nine wins and 16 podiums across 75 starts, with his final season in 2023 producing three wins and three podiums to finish fifth in the championship standings. His record placed him among drivers closely matched with him in the regular field; he was regularly competitive against Stephen Simpson and Michael Johnson, both professionals with substantial IMSA experience. Block finished ahead of Rodrigo Sales, an established professional with European Le Mans Series credentials, on three occasions, and beat Kenton Koch, a multiple IMSA and GT4 America champion graded FIA Gold, once.[2]
