O'Kennedy finished 33rd in the championship standings. The field mixed amateur, semi-professional and graded professional drivers, and he typically finished behind established professionals; he regularly raced against Alessandro Nannini and Thierry Boutsen, both former Formula 1 drivers with extensive GT racing experience, and trailed both. He did finish ahead of Eric van de Poele, an International Formula 3000 regular, and ahead of Julian Bailey, who went on to win the FIA GT Championship in 2000.[2]
