USF Pro 2000 is an open-wheel sprint series and the third rung of the Road to Indy ladder, positioned between USF2000 and Indy NXT. The series competes on road courses, street courses, and ovals. Its field is professional, composed almost entirely of ungraded drivers with a small Silver contingent; calibre is entry-level professional, well above its feeder series but below the level that attracts elite drivers. Drivers arrive principally from USF2000 and other junior open-wheel and karting backgrounds, and the series functions as a genuine stepping stone to Indy NXT, where its champion earns a scholarship seat. It operates within the Road to Indy pathway and remains the established launching point for North American open-wheel drivers moving toward IndyCar.
