Alejandro Abogado is an entry-level professional who raced solo in the 2013 Formula Renault Eurocup, a single-class championship mixing amateur, semi-professional and graded professional drivers. He competed for Interwetten.com Racing across the season's eight rounds.[1]
Abogado finished 24th in the championship standings. In a field that included elite professionals destined for higher categories, he regularly finished behind both Pierre Gasly, who won the title and went on to Formula 1, and Oliver Rowland, who later became an established professional and Formula E champion. Abogado took one finish ahead of Rowland and another ahead of Gustav Malja, a driver who would compete in multiple junior and intermediate single-seater series.[2]
