Marco Betti was an entry-level professional racing in the Formula Renault Eurocup, a single-class open-wheel championship that fields drivers ranging from amateur competitors to FIA Platinum-graded professionals. He drove for Iquick Valencia in 2009.[1]
Betti's indexed racing career comprised three starts in a single season of Formula Renault Eurocup competition. He finished 26th in the championship standings.[2]
In the same races he encountered António Félix da Costa and Jean-Eric Vergne, both established professionals who would go on to win Formula E titles and race in the World Endurance Championship at the highest level. Betti regularly finished behind both. He also recorded results ahead of Nigel Melker, a Formula 3 and GP3 driver, on two occasions, and bettered Kevin Magnussen, later a Formula 1 race driver and Formula V8 3.5 champion, once.
