Carl Wattana Bennett is a professional driver competing at the sharp end of top-level endurance racing. His Racer Rating of 4,690 places him among professional competitors; drivers at this level typically contest national championship front-runners or the stronger fields in international feeder series, though Bennett's record reflects the calibre found in the world's premier endurance series. His 2024 WEC campaign with Isotta Fraschini in the Hypercar class was his only season on record, comprising five starts with no wins or podiums and an average finish of P15.3.[1]
Throughout that season Bennett competed directly against an exceptional field of Platinum-graded professionals and multiple world champions: Nico Müller, Laurens Vanthoor (2024 WEC Hypercar champion), Sébastien Buemi (five-time WEC champion), Ryo Hirakawa (2023 WEC Hypercar champion), Antonio Giovinazzi (2025 WEC Hypercar champion), and Nyck de Vries. He finished behind all of these drivers in every shared race. Bennett did, however, record single strong results against established professionals including Jack Aitken, Felipe Drugovich (2022 Formula 2 champion), and Pipo Derani, each beaten once during the season.[2]
The Isotta Fraschini team withdrew from WEC during the 2024 season, concluding Bennett's tenure in the championship. Recent reports indicate that Bennett has moved into Ferrari-based endurance programmes, potentially competing alongside his father.
