🇨🇦 Gianmarco Raimondo

Gianmarco Raimondo is a retired Canadian professional driver rated as FIA Silver, a grading that places him below the full-professional tiers in endurance racing. His indexed career spans single-seater racing in Formula 3 and GP2 Series, alongside a national kart championship appearance. He raced primarily for Prema Powerteam in the Formula 3 Euro Series.[1]

Raimondo's record across 29 starts between 2006 and 2013 yielded two podiums. He took a podium finish at the SKUSA SuperNationals in the S1 Pro Stock Moto class in 2006, then returned to single-seater racing in 2011, competing in the Formula 3 Euro Series with 23 starts and one podium for Prema Powerteam. His most significant campaign came that year in a field mixing amateur and professional entrants; he also made a single appearance in the FIA Formula 3 European Championship. In 2013 he drove four races in GP2 Series for Trident Racing before his racing record ended.[2]

Raimondo raced regularly against established professionals including Daniel Abt, a Gold-graded driver with substantial experience in GP2 and Formula 3 competition, and Laurens Vanthoor, a Platinum-graded multiple champion in IMSA and the World Endurance Championship who would go on to race across endurance and single-seater categories. He finished ahead of Vanthoor on seven occasions and of fellow established professional Felix Rosenqvist, the 2015 FIA Formula 3 European champion, on three, though he finished behind both drivers more often than not over their shared races.
