Jacques Goudchaux is a semi-professional driver whose recorded career consists of three starts in the 1988 Formula 3 Macau series, where he finished on average in 15th place. His rating of 3,576 places him in the semi-professional band, a level typified by competitive performances in pro-am and one-make classes. Goudchaux never scored a podium finish across his racing record.[1]
The field at Formula 3 Macau in 1988 contained several drivers of considerably higher calibre. Goudchaux finished behind the elite professional Jean Alesi, the future Formula 1 world champion Damon Hill, and established professionals including the FIA Gold-graded Gianni Morbidelli, FIA Silver-graded Érik Comas, and Stefan Johansson. His single finish ahead of Alesi represents an outlier result rather than a pattern of competitive superiority; across three shared races against Alesi, Goudchaux fell behind on two occasions. He did consistently outpace lower-ranked drivers such as Michael Johansson and Håkan Olausson, but these victories occurred against competitors outside the elite professional tier.[2]
Goudchaux raced for DG Racing, a team that produced no wins across its indexed history. His racing career ended in 1988, though records indicate some involvement in motorsport activities in later years.
