Andrea Chiesa is an established professional racing driver from Switzerland who competed in single-seater and endurance racing across three international championships between 1988 and 1992. His primary indexed record spans International Formula 3000, where he spent four seasons with Apomatox, alongside brief campaigns in Formula 1 with Fondmetal and the FIA GT Championship with Seikel Motorsport.[1]

Chiesa took one win across 45 starts, in Formula 3000, and finished with five podiums. His Formula 1 appearance in 1992 yielded three starts and a 15th-place finish in the championship standings. His career was marked by regular competition against established professionals; he ran closely with Marco Apicella and Paul Belmondo in Formula 3000, where both were frequent opponents across multiple seasons. He finished ahead of Allan McNish and Eddie Irvine on single occasions, though both would go on to longer Formula 1 careers.
