Andrea Chiesa is an established professional who raced single-seater and endurance machinery across four series from 1988 to 1992. He competed in International Formula 3000 across four seasons for Apomatox, contested the FIA GT Championship twice for Seikel Motorsport, and made three Formula 1 starts for Fondmetal in 1992, finishing 15th in the championship standings.[1]
Chiesa took a single win in International Formula 3000 and four additional podiums across his career, three in the formula three-thousand category and one in the GT field. He raced most frequently against Marco Apicella and Paul Belmondo, both established professionals with whom he was closely matched; among stronger opposition, he finished ahead of Allan McNish and Eddie Irvine once apiece. His longest association was with First Racing, which fielded him for 21 of his 45 starts across the series.[2]
