🇸🇪 Thomas Danielsson

Thomas Danielsson was an established professional racing in International Formula 3000, a single-class open-wheel championship that fielded amateurs, semi-professionals and graded professionals together. He raced for Madgwick Motorsport across two seasons from 1988 to 1989.[1]

Danielsson made 14 starts in the series and finished fifth in the 1989 championship standings, taking a win and two podiums from ten rounds raced that season. His only victory came in a series that included Jean Alesi, the 1989 F3000 champion, and Eddie Irvine, both of whom he finished ahead of at least once.[2]

Against his regular rivals he was closely matched. Marco Apicella, an FIA Silver graded professional with 52 F3000 starts, and Claudio Langes, also an established professional with 33 starts in the series, were his most frequent opponents, and neither held a decisive edge over him across their meetings.
