🇯🇵 Kazuhisa Urabe

Kazuhisa Urabe is a professional racing driver competing in two national championships based in Japan and North America. He races a Toyota GR86 in the TGRNA GR Cup North America Am class for Precision Racing LA and competes in Super Formula Lights, a single-driver national series, for Delightworks Racing. He also holds an FIA Silver grade and drives the GT300 class in Super GT, Japan's premier endurance championship, for Hyper Water Racing Inging, where he shares the car with co-drivers across multiclass grids.[1]

His record across three seasons spans 31 starts, the majority in Super Formula Lights where he has competed regularly since 2025. Two podiums have come from Super GT, where his appearances number six starts in the GT300 class alongside his endurance co-drivers. In TGRNA, where he raced two rounds in 2024, he finished 20th in the championship standings. His usual form places him ahead of entry-level professional opposition such as Reimei Ito while running behind the established professional Yusuke Mitsui in their shared series. He has finished ahead of stronger drivers on occasion; he beat the established professional Toshiki Oyu, a Gold-graded driver with extensive Super Formula and Super GT experience, and the 2025 Super Formula Lights champion Yuto Nomura, though these remain single instances rather than patterns.[2]

Urabe competes in fields mixing amateur entrants with graded professionals. In Super Formula Lights, he is mid-pack against a full-season grid of competitors ranging from semi-professional to Gold-graded drivers. His work with B-MAX Racing Team, which has fielded elite professionals alongside developing drivers on its roster, has accounted for the bulk of his indexed starts and represents his primary base for series competition.
