Mike Wilds is a British racing driver who competed in Formula 1 during the mid-1970s. He made three starts for BRM across the 1974 and 1975 seasons, entering the world championship in July 1974. He failed to score championship points or finish in the points-scoring positions during his time in the series, and did not progress beyond two rounds in 1975 before his involvement in Formula 1 ended.[1]
Wilds' three-race Formula 1 career placed him among the numerous drivers who competed in the sport during that era but made no lasting impact on the grid. BRM, his sole team, was a works operation that had fielded some of the sport's strongest drivers historically; by the time Wilds joined, however, the team was in decline and no longer competitive at the front. His rating of 3,782 reflects a driver who competed at the professional level but did not distinguish himself against the field he faced.[2]
