Paul Daniels contested a single season in the World Endurance Championship in 2012, fielded by JWA-Avila. Over seven rounds he accumulated no podium finishes and ended the year in thirteenth place. His average finishing position of approximately sixth across classified results places him in the middle of the grid in a professional series that draws its peak talent from Formula 1 and top-tier single-seater categories.[1]
Throughout his seven starts, Daniels faced a consistent field of established professionals. He did not finish ahead of any of the four Bronze-graded drivers he encountered repeatedly, nor ahead of Jean-Philippe Belloc or Paolo Ruberti, both stronger competitors by rating. He managed to outrun Michele Rugolo, a Silver-graded driver ranked above him, on one occasion, and beat two other professional-level competitors, Niclas Jönsson and Tracy Krohn, once each. These isolated results represent exceptions rather than patterns in a season where he finished behind his most frequent rivals in the overwhelming majority of shared races.[2]
Daniels has been retired from racing since 2012. His brief stint in the World Endurance Championship represents his only documented racing activity at the professional level.
