Eric Lux is a professional endurance racer competing in multiclass championships with a shared car. He races primarily in IMSA WeatherTech, where he has contested both the GTD class in GT3 machinery and the LMP2 prototype class across 17 starts since 2014. He holds an FIA Bronze grading, which places him in the amateur and gentleman driver category within endurance racing. His career includes a single season in the World Endurance Championship in 2013, a one-off appearance in the 24H Series in 2020, and limited activity in IMSA Pilot Challenge. He has raced for multiple teams, most notably Rick Ware Racing.[1]
Lux has taken three wins and four podiums across 21 starts in indexed racing. His longest sustained programme is IMSA WeatherTech, where the bulk of his results lie. His two WEC rounds in 2013 yielded a 20th-place finish in the championship standings. The consistency of his record in IMSA has brought him into regular competition against drivers of considerably higher standing; he has finished ahead of established professionals Rinus VeeKay, who was a Pro Mazda champion and is now an IndyCar regular, and Felix Rosenqvist, the 2015 FIA Formula 3 European champion.[2]
