Eugène Chaboud was a French racing driver who competed in the early years of the Formula 1 World Championship. He made three Grand Prix starts between 1950 and 1951, all driving for the Talbot-Lago team, without recording a win or podium finish. His average finishing position across classified starts was sixth, a respectable outcome in the chaotic early championship era when grid sizes were small and attrition rates high.[1]

The calibre of Chaboud's competition was substantial despite his lack of points. He finished ahead of Nino Farina, a former World Champion and a driver of international standing; he also beat Louis Rosier and Consalvo Sanesi, both established professionals of the period. These results, though limited to single occasions, demonstrate that Chaboud was competitive within the field of drivers attempting to establish themselves in Formula 1 at that time. His career at the top level was brief, and his activity ended in 1951.[2]
