Ignazio D'Agosto raced single-seater open-wheel cars at the international level in a mixed-grade championship. He spent four seasons in the Formula Renault Eurocup from 2012 to 2015, driving for Manor MP Motorsport and later KTR in a field that ranged from amateurs to graded professionals.[1]
Across 45 starts in the Eurocup, D'Agosto took one win and seven podiums. His best result came in 2015, his final season, when he finished ninth in the championship standings after scoring three podiums from twelve rounds. He was closely matched against regular opponents Kevin Jörg and Steijn Schothorst, both FIA Silver professionals who went on to race in higher categories including GP3 and GT racing. D'Agosto finished ahead of George Russell and Charles Leclerc twice each; both drivers would later become Formula 1 competitors and are rated as generational talents.[2]
D'Agosto held his own against a field that included established professionals and drivers moving through the junior ladder toward international motorsport. His record placed him among the mid-field regulars in a series populated by advancing single-seater competitors.
