David Ortmann is a professional endurance racing driver competing in two multiclass championships at the Nürburgring, both shared-car format with fields mixing amateurs through to graded professionals. He races for Walkenhorst Motorsport in the Nürburgring Langstrecken-Serie and for Dörr Motorsport in the Nürburgring 24 Hours, piloting Porsche Cayman GT4 Clubsport, GT4 and production-based race cars across multiple classes.[1]

Over seven seasons from 2018 to 2025, Ortmann has taken 3 podiums from 19 starts in these two series. His most significant result came at the 2024 or 2025 Nürburgring 24 Hours, where he won in the SP 10 class; he has also secured two additional podium finishes in that race. In the Langstrecken-Serie, he has one podium from 13 starts across the Cup 3, SP 10 and SP 8 classes.[2]

Ortmann regularly races against established professionals graded FIA Platinum, most notably Dennis Olsen and Raffaele Marciello, both multiple-time champions and prolific competitors in top-tier European series. He has finished ahead of Matt Campbell, the 2025 IMSA WeatherTech GTP champion, and Nico Müller, a DTM and Formula E regular, though these stand as isolated results rather than patterns. Against his steadiest opposition, Olsen and Marciello, he typically finishes behind them in shared-car endurance racing where co-drivers' performance shapes the final classification.
