🇮🇹 Lorenzo Patrese

Lorenzo Patrese is a professional Italian racing driver competing in GT3 endurance racing. He races for Kessel Racing in GT World Challenge Europe, a single-class championship run across Europe in which cars are shared between multiple drivers. Patrese also competes in IMSA WeatherTech, a multiclass endurance series in the United States, for Conquest Racing, and has made appearances in the World Endurance Championship and the Bathurst 12 Hour. He holds an FIA Silver grading, placing him below the full-professional grades in sportscar racing but an established competitor at his level. His rating stands at 4,347.[1]

Patrese began racing in Italian F4 in 2020 with AKM Motorsport, running 22 starts across two seasons in that single-driver junior championship. He moved into endurance racing in 2022, joining Kessel Racing for GT World Challenge Europe, where he has accumulated 32 starts through 2026. His entry into IMSA began in 2025 and continues into 2026. In February 2026 he secured a podium finish in the Bathurst 12 Hour, a multiclass endurance race, driving a GT3 car in the BRO class. He made his WEC debut in 2026 and currently sits 21st in the championship standings as the season remains in progress.[2]

In GT World Challenge Europe, Patrese races regularly against Benjamin Goethe, an established professional with Gold grading and extensive endurance experience, typically finishing behind him; he runs closely matched with Aurelien Panis, a Silver-graded professional who has raced in touring cars and Formula Renault. In junior single-seater racing, Patrese finished ahead of Andrea Kimi Antonelli on three occasions, a generational talent who went on to claim the 2022 Italian F4 title and has since raced in Formula 1. He also beat Scott McLaughlin once in shared-car racing, a Platinum-graded elite professional and two-time Supercars champion. His record in endurance racing is built from performances across crewed machinery, where shared-car results place him mid-field against a mixed professional and semi-professional grid.
