He raced for Bromley Motorsport and Luciano Pavesi Team across his career in the series.[1]

Over this period he met regular opposition in Marco Apicella, a FIA Silver graded driver, and Jean Alesi, the 1989 International Formula 3000 champion who would go on to race in Formula 1. Monti typically finished behind both. He took single wins over established professionals Volker Weidler and Enrico Bertaggia, both of whom had raced the same series across multiple seasons.[2]
