Roland Eggimann is an entry-level professional competing in multiclass endurance racing shared between multiple drivers per car. He raced for Hofor-Racing across three national and international championships from 2011 to 2019, piloting modified production-based race cars and GT3 machinery in the Nürburgring Langstrecken-Serie, the 24H Series and the Nürburgring 24 Hours.[1]
Over nine seasons he accumulated four wins and fourteen podiums from thirty starts. His most productive campaigns came in the 24H Series, where he took three wins and five podiums across seven starts in 2017 and 2018, competing in GT3 cars across both professional and amateur-graded classes in a field that spanned thirteen countries. In the Nürburgring Langstrecken-Serie, run entirely at a single circuit in Germany, he took one win and eight podiums in twenty-two starts across 2011 to 2018 in modified production and GT3 cars. His final racing appearance came in the 2019 Nürburgring 24 Hours, where he secured a podium finish.[2]
Eggimann competed regularly against drivers of similar standing; his record against Stefan Manheller and Bernd Kleeschulte, both long-term Nürburgring series participants, was closely matched throughout their encounters. In multiclass endurance racing where amateurs and professionals share the grid, he finished ahead of established professionals including Frédéric Makowiecki, a WEC and IMSA regular, and Jake Dennis, the 2023 Formula E champion.
