🇷🇺 Sergey Zlobin

Sergey Zlobin was a professional endurance racing driver who competed in shared-car prototype and GT racing across three seasons from 2004 to 2014. He raced in the FIA GT Championship for BMS Scuderia Italia and later drove LMP2 prototypes for SMP Racing in the WEC and a single IMSA WeatherTech start. His rating of 4,572 places him at the professional level; he was competitive against established opposition but did not win a championship.[1]

His indexed record spans two distinct periods. Early in his career he made seven starts in the FIA GT Championship between 2004 and 2006. He returned to racing eight years later in 2014, when he drove for SMP Racing in the WEC's LMP2 class across seven rounds and took three podiums, finishing fifth in the championship standings. That same year he contested one IMSA WeatherTech race with SMP and ESM Racing. His career total across all series was 15 starts and 3 podiums.[2]

In the WEC in 2014 he was closely matched with Olivier Pla, an established professional with significant single-seater experience, and with Roman Rusinov, a professional and 2013 LMP2 champion; he shared the grid with Brendon Hartley and Kevin Estre, both established professionals with multiple championships to their names. He finished ahead of Hartley once and Estre once across his WEC campaign. His primary team, SMP Racing, was an established operation that had fielded Hartley among its 40 drivers across the index.
