🇧🇷 Tarso Marques

Tarso Marques is an established professional driver, rated 5,434, who spent most of his career in single-seater racing. He holds an FIA Silver grading for endurance competition. Between 1994 and 2001, he competed in International Formula 3000 and Formula 1, racing for Minardi in the latter; he returned to competition in 2004 for a pair of FIA GT Championship endurance races with JMB Racing, and made a final appearance in Brazil's Stock Car Pro Series in 2016.[1]

Across 43 starts, Marques took one win and two podiums. He scored those results in International Formula 3000 in the mid-1990s; his 25 Formula 1 starts for Minardi yielded no championship points across three seasons. He never completed a full campaign in F1, and his two endurance starts and single stock-car appearance added neither wins nor podiums to his record.[2]

His peers in Formula 1 and the lower categories included drivers of substantial calibre. David Coulthard, with 247 F1 starts and 20 in Formula 3000, regularly finished ahead of him, as did Rubens Barrichello, a four-time Stock Car Pro Series champion with 326 F1 starts. Marques finished ahead of Fernando Alonso once in their shared time at Minardi; Alonso went on to win two Formula 1 world championships and later took the World Endurance Championship in prototypes.
