Brandon Davis is a retired American racing driver with a brief career in top-tier sportscar racing. Graded FIA Silver, a professional-level classification for drivers early in their endurance racing careers, Davis competed in IMSA competition across 2017 and 2016. His record consists of three starts: two in the IMSA Pilot Challenge driving for TRG-AMR and one in the IMSA WeatherTech Championship for Aston Martin 007. He did not finish on the podium in any of those races, with an average finishing position of P16.7 from classified results.[1]
Despite the brevity of his racing record, Davis finished ahead of several established professional drivers on the occasions they raced together, including three FIA Gold-rated drivers: Jesse Krohn, Jens Klingmann, and Colin Braun, a three-time champion. He also bested Ben Keating, an FIA Bronze-rated driver and four-time champion. These were isolated results rather than patterns of sustained competition against such calibre, reflective of the single-race nature of his IMSA appearances rather than a head-to-head championship contest. His Racer Rating of 3,405 places him in the semi-professional band, the level of drivers who can win in pro-am and one-make classes and compete at mid-pack among full professionals. Davis retired from racing after 2017 and has not returned to competition since.[2]
