The European Le Mans Series is an endurance championship for sports-prototype and GT3 cars, organised by the Automobile Club de l'Ouest and contested across four classes: LMP2 Pro/Am and LMP2, which run LMP2 prototypes; LMP3, which runs LMP3 prototypes; and LMGT3, which runs GT3 cars. The field is established professional; drivers range from early-career Silver-graded professionals to experienced Platinum-graded competitors including Richard Verschoor, James Calado and Nick Yelloly, with a strong showing of Gold-graded professionals across the roster. The series functions as both stepping stone and destination, drawing drivers from Le Mans Cup and Road to Le Mans as they climb toward international sportscar racing, while simultaneously serving as a rung on the path upward to the World Endurance Championship and IMSA WeatherTech.
