Jules Szymkowiak is an entry-level professional racing driver, FIA Silver graded, who competed across single-seater and endurance racing between 2014 and 2022. He spent his primary season in the FIA Formula 3 European Championship with Van Amersfoort Racing, the team that fielded Max Verstappen, and subsequently moved to national-level GT3 endurance racing in Germany, driving for HTP Motorsport and racing one GmbH.[1]
Szymkowiak made 26 starts in FIA Formula 3 European in 2014, his only full-season campaign in single-seater racing. He then transitioned to multiclass endurance racing, contesting the Nürburgring Langstrecken-Serie across 2015 and 2016 in various classes, from BMW Cup machinery through to GT3 cars, before three further starts in the Nürburgring 24 Hours from 2019 to 2022.[2]
His record in Formula 3 European placed him among a field mixing amateurs with graded professionals. He finished ahead of Jake Dennis, a Formula E champion and Platinum-graded professional, on three occasions, and bested Felix Rosenqvist, winner of the 2015 Formula 3 European championship and now an established professional racer in IndyCar, twice. He proved closely matched against Roy Nissany, a Gold-graded professional with extensive Formula 2 experience. Against Tom Blomqvist, a Platinum-graded established professional who would go on to win the IMSA WeatherTech GTP championship, he typically finished behind.
