🇧🇪 Kobe Pauwels

Kobe Pauwels is a professional racing driver competing in GT and endurance racing at international level. FIA Silver-graded, he races for Comtoyou Racing in GT World Challenge Europe, where he has spent most of his career; he also competes in the World Endurance Championship, the Asian Le Mans Series, and various shorter-format GT championships in cars ranging from GT3 machinery to touring cars. His 52 starts across four seasons span both sprint and endurance formats, mixing multiclass fields with single-class competition.[1]

His record centers on GT World Challenge Europe, where he has taken 28 starts for Comtoyou Racing since 2023 with one podium finish. Away from that series, he has won twice in the GT Winter Series and collected podiums in Asian Le Mans and the Nürburgring Langstrecken-Serie. His strongest results have come in shorter races; he is currently competing in the 2026 WEC season with Heart of Racing Team and sits 24th in the championship standings with two rounds run so far.[2]

Against the regular opposition in GT World Challenge Europe, Pauwels typically finishes behind Lucas Auer, an established Platinum-graded professional and two-time champion of the series, but ahead of Darren Leung, a Bronze-graded GT3 specialist. He has beaten stronger drivers occasionally: Edoardo Mortara, an elite professional who raced Formula E and won the Formula 3 Euro Series in 2010, once; and Maro Engel, a Platinum-graded champion and prolific GT World Challenge Europe entrant, seven times. His most recent notable moment came as a stand-in driver for an Aston Martin entry in the WEC, where he secured pole position in qualifying.
