🇫🇷 Sylvain Tremblay

Sylvain Tremblay is a professional endurance racing driver, graded FIA Bronze, who raced primarily in the IMSA WeatherTech Championship for SpeedSource between 2014 and 2015. He drove Mazda prototypes in a multiclass field shared by five racing classes, in which professional, semi-professional and amateur drivers competed together. His sole earlier indexed start came in the FIA GT Championship in 2002, a shared-driver endurance series that mixed amateurs and professionals on the same grid.[1]

Across 15 starts in the indexed record, Tremblay finished 36th in IMSA WeatherTech championship standings in his final season. He raced regularly against established professionals including Christian Fittipaldi, a Formula 1 driver and multiple champion, and Michael Valiante, the 2015 IMSA WeatherTech champion; he typically finished behind both. He finished ahead of Kevin Estre, now a two-time WEC HYPERCAR champion and WEC LMGTE Pro title holder, on three occasions, and ahead of Brendon Hartley, a WEC LMP1 and HYPERCAR champion with Formula 1 experience, once. These were rare moments in a career spent competing among stronger drivers in shared-car endurance racing.[2]
