Richard Westbrook is a British sports car driver whose career grew out of a strong Porsche-based background. He came through the marque's junior and one-make ranks in the United Kingdom, winning the Porsche Carrera Cup GB in 2004 and later adding the Porsche Supercup title, results that established him as one of the more accomplished British sports car racers of his generation. A factory contract with Porsche followed at the end of 2007, and his 2009 FIA GT2 Championship, secured with four race wins, confirmed his status among the leading sports car drivers of that era before he moved on to a long-running international career, including extensive competition in North America.[1]
