Victor Garcia is a retired professional single-seater driver who raced across four seasons of junior and open-wheel championships between 2008 and 2011. Graded FIA Silver, he competed in Formula Renault Eurocup, Formula 3 Euro Series, Formula 3 Macau, Formula V8 3.5 with KMP Racing, and Indy NXT with Team Moore Racing.[1]
Garcia's most substantial campaign came in 2011 when he took seven starts in Indy NXT, the series where he scored his only win and took two podiums en route to eighth in the championship standings. His earlier single-seater experience comprised ten Formula V8 3.5 starts in 2010, one Formula 3 Euro Series entry and two Formula 3 Macau races in 2009, and a Formula Renault Eurocup start in 2008. Across all categories he finished with twenty-one starts, one win and two podiums.[2]
Garcia spent his Indy NXT season in a field that included Josef Newgarden, who would go on to win the championship and later claim two IndyCar titles, finishing ahead of him three times. He also raced against Esteban Guerrieri across multiple series; Guerrieri would become a professional touring car champion, though Garcia typically finished behind him. He beat Laurens Vanthoor once in their encounters, a driver who later won multiple IMSA and World Endurance championships.
