His career spanned four seasons in IndyCar from 2006 to 2009, where he accumulated 38 starts across the sport's premier open-wheel series. He scored one podium finish during this period and averaged a finishing position of P13.9 when classified, reflecting consistent mid-field presence in one of the world's most competitive single-seater championships.[1]

Throughout his IndyCar tenure, Foyt competed against an elite field that included multiple champions and Platinum-graded professionals. His head-to-head record against these rivals demonstrates the calibre of competition he faced; he finished ahead of Scott Dixon, a four-time champion and Platinum-graded driver, on two occasions from 38 shared races, and beat former champions including Dario Franchitti twice and Will Power nine times.
