Jeff van Hooydonk is a retired Belgian racing driver who competed as an established professional in single-seater and endurance racing across two international championships. He raced in International Formula 3000 for Super Nova Racing Ltd between 1999 and 2004, accumulating 33 starts over six seasons, and made three appearances in the FIA GT Championship for Barwell Motorsport between 2002 and 2009. His career spanned a decade but remained concentrated in these two series, with his final indexed season in 2009 yielding a 29th-place championship standing.[1]
Van Hooydonk raced regularly against established professionals in Formula 3000, where he competed alongside drivers who went on to significant careers in higher series. He typically finished behind Tomas Enge and Nicolas Minassian, both regulars in the championship who possessed stronger credentials; Minassian had won the 2000 International Formula 3000 title. Van Hooydonk scored finishes ahead of Fernando Alonso, then an occasional Formula 3000 entrant before his dominance in Formula 1, on one occasion, and beat Mark Webber twice in their meetings in the series. His FIA GT appearances came late in his career and contributed little to his overall record. The bulk of his racing came through Witmeur Team KTR, which fielded three drivers across the index with modest collective success.[2]
