🇸🇪 Kenny Bräck

Kenny Bräck is an established professional who raced single-seaters in North America across nine seasons from 1994 to 2005. He competed in International Formula 3000 early in his career for Super Nova, then moved to IndyCar, where he drove for Rahal Letterman Racing and A.J. Foyt Enterprises. In IndyCar he raced exclusively on oval tracks.[1]

Bräck won the 1998 IndyCar championship with A.J. Foyt Enterprises, taking four wins and nine podiums across 46 starts in the series between 1997 and 2005. In Formula 3000 he collected four wins and eleven podiums from 25 starts over three seasons from 1994 to 1996, establishing himself as a consistent front-runner before his move to the American open-wheel circuit. His career ended in 2005 with a partial season in IndyCar that left him 23rd in the championship standings.[2]

The IndyCar grid during Bräck's tenure included established champions and multiple-time title winners. He raced regularly against Buddy Lazier, the 2000 IndyCar champion, with whom he was closely matched, and against Scott Sharp, a Platinum-graded professional and regular competitor at the highest level of North American racing. Among stronger drivers he finished ahead of 1997 IndyCar champion Tony Stewart on multiple occasions and beat four-time IndyCar champion Dario Franchitti in their meetings.
