🇨🇭 Mike Rockenfeller

Mike Rockenfeller is an established professional racing driver and FIA Platinum-graded competitor in sportscar and endurance racing, holding Swiss nationality. He has spent 18 seasons racing across multiple series, competing primarily in DTM for Audi and in IMSA WeatherTech for Ford Racing, where he drives DPi prototypes, GT3 cars, and GTE machinery in multiclass endurance events. He remains active in competition.[1]

Across 151 starts from 2005 to the present, Rockenfeller has taken 6 wins and 32 podiums. His most significant success came in single-seaters and endurance racing earlier in his career; his indexed record begins with the FIA GT Championship in 2005, followed by a long spell in sportscar racing that included a victory at the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 2010. He contested DTM between 2018 and 2021 for Team ABT Sportsline, taking a win and 15 podiums across 65 starts in that domestic German championship. His IMSA campaign spans from 2014 to the present, with 47 starts yielding 3 wins and 13 podiums. He has also raced the Nürburgring Langstrecken-Serie, World Endurance Championship, and briefly NASCAR's road courses. His most recent racing came in WEC in 2023, where he secured a win and podium finish.[2]

Rockenfeller's regular opposition in DTM and endurance racing includes Marco Wittmann, a Formula 3 European champion and fellow Platinum-graded professional whom he races closely, and Philipp Eng, another established professional and Platinum-graded competitor whom he typically finishes ahead of in their shared series. He has also beaten Alex Palou and Liam Lawson, both elite professionals competing at a higher level, though these instances are occasional rather than sustained. His primary team affiliation has been with Audi Sport Team Phoenix in the Nürburgring series and DTM; he currently races for Ford Racing in IMSA, where he competes as part of the manufacturer's endurance programme.
