GT America is a sprint series of GT racing run by SRO Motorsports Group, fielding GT3, GT4, and SRO GT2 cars alongside one-make cup machinery. The field is professional-am, divided by driver grading; the GT3 class draws established drivers rated at entry-level professional calibre, while GT4 and the cup classes skew toward Bronze-graded amateurs and gentlemen competitors. Top drivers include George Kurtz and Memo Gidley. The series draws drivers from IMSA Pilot Challenge and International GT, which are comparable or modestly weaker in strength, as well as from club racing and one-make cups; many move on to GT World Challenge America, the higher international equivalent. GT America functions as a middle tier of North American GT racing, sitting above pure club racing but below the world-level grid.
