Daiki Sasaki is an established professional sportscar racing driver with a rating of 6,057, placing him among the top tier of full-time competitors in GT and endurance racing. The FIA's Gold categorisation identifies him as a professional-level driver in sportscar competition. His career has centred on Super GT, Japan's premier GT racing series, where he completed 93 starts across fourteen seasons from 2012 to 2025, scoring three wins and twelve podiums. His single-race outing in Formula 3 Macau in 2016 yielded no points.[1]

Sasaki's head-to-head record across his long Super GT tenure tells a clear story of professional consistency against elite fields. He has raced repeatedly against multiple drivers of significantly higher calibre, including three-time IndyCar champion Alex Palou, multiple Super GT champions Tadasuke Makino, Sho Tsuboi and Naoki Yamamoto, and elite professionals ranked above 6,400 such as Tsugio Matsuda and Yuji Kunimoto. Against Yamamoto he finished ahead in nineteen of their shared races; against Makino twelve times; and against Tsuboi twenty-seven times. These are not isolated results but patterns established across dozens of shared outings. By contrast, he finished ahead of lower-ranked competitors in approximately eighty-five percent of his races against them. His average finishing position of P12.5 across ninety-four classified starts reflects solid mid-grid performance in competitive fields. Sasaki spent the majority of his career with NISMO NDDP, returning to that team for 2025 after stints elsewhere. Recent moves see him transitioning between Nissan factory teams, with 2025 activity showing appearances for both NDDP and Team Handwork. He remains active in Super GT as the series heads into its 2026 campaign.
