🇦🇹 Ferdinand Habsburg

Ferdinand Habsburg is an established professional racing at FIA Gold grade, holding a Racer Rating of 5,317. He competes primarily in endurance racing, sharing prototype machinery in multiclass and single-class championships. His main commitment is to the FIA World Endurance Championship with Alpine Endurance Team, where he races LMP2 prototypes, and he also contests the European Le Mans Series in the same class for CLX Motorsport. His career spans 12 seasons from 2015 onwards across single-seaters and sportscar racing.[1]

Habsburg has won two championships: the 2021 WEC and the 2022 European Le Mans Series. He has taken five wins and 11 podiums in the WEC across 38 starts since 2021, and four wins with eight podiums in the European Le Mans Series across 26 starts. Earlier in his career he contested Formula 3 European as a single-seater driver for Carlin, taking one win and five podiums from 52 starts; he also raced DTM for Audi Sport Team WRT. His current 2026 WEC campaign sits at nine points in the championship standings after five rounds raced so far, with one podium to date.[2]

In endurance racing he races among fields mixing amateurs with graded professionals. His regular opponents include Mick Schumacher, a Platinum-graded champion of Formula 3 European and Formula 2 who has also raced Formula 1, and Jonathan Aberdein, a Gold-graded professional; Habsburg runs closely matched with both. He has finished ahead of drivers of far greater prominence in single-seater racing, including Lando Norris, the 2025 Formula 1 world champion who won the 2017 Formula 3 European title, and Alex Palou, who holds the 2021, 2023, 2024, 2025 and 2026 IndyCar championships; Habsburg beat Norris four times and Palou five times across their shared category racing.
