🇩🇪 Lucas Luhr

Lucas Luhr is an established professional and FIA Platinum-graded driver who raced sportscars and endurance machinery across multiple international series from 1998 to 2013. He competed primarily in the Nürburgring Langstrecken-Serie for Team IronForce by RING POLICE, where he took seven wins and ten podiums over a decade-long association with the team in Porsche machinery. His career also included stints in IMSA WeatherTech's GTLM class for BMW Team RLL, FIA GT Championship endurance racing, and single-round appearances in WEC, IndyCar and Formula 3 Macau.[1]

His most substantial record came in the Nürburgring series, where he finished on the podium in nearly half his starts and established himself as a consistent frontrunner in that championship. In IMSA WeatherTech, where he contested endurance racing alongside established professionals, he took two podiums from nineteen starts across 2014 to 2016. A brief WEC campaign in 2013 yielded one podium from two starts. His single-seater and open-wheel racing remained limited; a handful of Formula 3 Macau rounds and one IndyCar start did not generate podium finishes.[2]

Luhr raced regularly against Platinum-graded professionals of his era. He was closely matched with Patrick Pilet across multiple series, and usually finished behind Richard Westbrook, a 2015 IMSA WeatherTech champion, in their meetings. He finished ahead of Laurens Vanthoor, later a three-time major championship winner in IMSA and WEC, and on one occasion ahead of Kyle Larson, now a multiple NASCAR Cup Series champion.
