Taylor Barnard is an established professional competing in single-seater racing. He races for DS Penske in Formula E, where he has competed since 2024 alongside prior seasons in Formula 2, Formula 3, and ADAC Formula 4. His progression through the junior categories began in 2020 with Italian F4, where he raced for PHM Racing across three seasons before moving up to ADAC Formula 4 in 2021 and establishing himself as a regular winner in that championship.[1]

Barnard took five wins across ADAC Formula 4 and Formula 2 combined, with his breakthrough in Formula 2 coming in 2024 as a 20-start rookie. His move to Formula E followed immediately. Across 25 starts in the series so far, he has taken five podiums; at the 2026 season finale he became the youngest race winner in Formula E history. His record across the junior single-seaters and current top-tier campaign totals 118 starts with 7 wins and 20 podiums.[2]

In junior racing, Barnard proved closely matched against Nikita Bedrin, a professional with extensive experience across ADAC Formula 4, Italian F4 and Formula 3. He regularly finished behind Andrea Kimi Antonelli, a generational talent and multiple junior champion now racing in Formula 1, though he beat Antonelli in head-to-head meetings. He also outpaced Isack Hadjar, an elite professional who moved to Formula 1 and has 54 Formula 2 starts; their meetings were infrequent enough that Barnard's victories over him stand as notable scalps.
